1. shutdown the built-in firewall (allow all&everyone)
2. restart your interfaces
3. restart the built-in firewall
So obviously stupid, it's like asking "Did you try turning it off and on again?" -- actually it's turning "it off & on again". Oh dear.
If this doesn't do the trick, you can still waste some hours reading man pages for bootpd(8), learning to understand /System-plists and do a major internet search on the key words "169.254.x.x", "force release", "fuck", "fuck apple", "fuck *bsd" and "fuck midgets^w"

I've been asked several times about an error within Xe(La)TeX files using the packages amsmath and amssymb. This seems to be a (well known) bug within XeTeX. A workaround is changing comments in /etc/texmf/dvipdfm/dvipdfmx.cfg :
--- f pdftex.map
--- %f dvipdfm.map
+++ %f pdftex.map
+++ f dvipdfm.map
That's all. Additionally you could clean your working directory if a voodoo-bug keeps occurring.

9. downgrade jpeg: sudo port install jpeg @6b_3; sudo port activate jpeg @6b_3
